As "The Viennese Violinist," Johannes Fleischmann impresses both nationally and internationally with an impressive repertoire. His versatility and passion for chamber music are reflected in his ongoing collaborations with renowned musicians such as Julius Berger, Andrej Bielow, Andreas Brantelid, André Cazalet, Akira Eguchi, José Gallardo, Eszter Haffner, Mariko Haselsteiner, André Heller, Christopher Hinterhuber, Hyung-ki Joo, Sophie Pacini, Michael Schade, Norman Shetler, Ryoma Takagi, Roger Vignoles, as well as with members of the Vienna and Berlin Philharmonic Orchestras.
His solo debut at the Vienna Konzerthaus was followed by numerous international tours and his appointment as a Cultural Ambassador by the Austrian Foreign Ministry. His concert tours have taken him to renowned concert halls such as the Great Hall of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, the Philharmonie im Gasteig Munich, the Alte Oper Frankfurt, Carnegie Hall in New York, the Vienna Musikverein, the Vienna Konzerthaus, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, and the Flagey in Brussels.
Johannes Fleischmann is a member of the “NWCS - Neue Wiener Concert Schrammeln” and the “Symphoniacs”.
In 2021, he presented his latest album, "EXODUS - The Men Who Shaped Hollywood," featuring recordings of the sonatas of Erich W. Korngold and Eric Zeisl (Odradek Records), recorded with Magda Amara (piano) and Günter Haumer (vocals). Acclaimed by the international press, the album has since been nominated for the 2021 German Record Critics' Award and the 2022 International Classical Music Awards (ICMA).
In addition to his own concert series at the Vienna MuTh, Johannes Fleischmann teaches at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna as assistant to Elisabeth Kropfitsch and is artistic director of the famous Palais Coburg.
